The Radix NEX201 is a compact PID controller ideal for tight spaces in industrial panels. With universal input, relay/SSR outputs, and support for Modbus RTU, it enables single or dual loop PID control with fast response times. The NEX201 also supports 16-step profile programming and AHU control for HVAC applications.

NEX20x is a series of full-featured PID controllers manufactured by Radix. With autotuning PID and fuzzy logic controls, these PID controllers are used in a host of industrial control applications for temperature, pressure, level, flow, humidity and other parameters. The NEX20x series include 5 DIN sizes (48x48, 96x48, 48x96, 72x72 and 96x96. These PID controllers are also available in flame proof (explosion proof) versions for hazardous applications. Variants include 2-zone and 3-zone PID Controller, 2-zone and 3-zone Indicator with Alarms, PID Controller with Ethernet and Data logging, PID Controller with Wi-Fi and Data logging.

The NEX201 PID Controller (48x48x85 mm) has two universal inputs. Input types include 14 thermocouples, RTDs (Pt100, Pt1000), 4-20 mA (DC current) and 0-10V (DC Voltage). The 4 to 20 mA input does not require any external resistor to be fixed at the terminals. This improves the accuracy greatly, apart from eliminating the inconvenience. NEX201 also has a square root function for each analog input.

NEX201 has 6 digital inputs and 2 isolated analog outputs (DC current - 4 to 20 mA, DC voltage - 0 to 10V) for control as well as retransmission. They can also be used as a setpoint output.

The NEX201 PID controller has 5 relays with direct/reverse control action. Alarms in the NEX201 can be reset through user key or digital input.

Control modes in NEX201 include : single PID, dual PID, ON/OFF, 16-step profile and Heat+Cool.

The PID controller NEX201 has MODBUS RTU communication with isolated RS485. Baud rates can be programmed from 2400 to 57600 baud.

The NEX201 PID Controller features a large display for Process Variable (16.3mm/0.64”) and Setpoint (9mm/0.354”), and has backlit LEDs with labels for ease of use.

Additional features of NEX201 include: soft start; bumpless auto/manual transfer; anti-reset windup; four PID groups; user friendly keyboard interface with password protection; and programmable sampling time of 50ms / 200ms. The NEX201 PID temperature controller has a supply voltage of 85-265 VAC with frequency 50/60 Hz or 20-55 VDC.

NEX201 PID Controller is housed in a 48x48x85 mm (1/16 DIN) enclosure made of UL94V-0 ABS. It has an IP66 (IEC) / NEMA 4X rating. The NEX201 PID Controller is CE certified. It carries a 3-year warranty.
